Life Begins at 40, King and Obama

He is phenomenal!” might be the right brief description of the newly elected president, Barack Obama. In very short time Obama has become an icon of change leadership not only nationally but also globally. According to Opinion Research Corp 7 out of 10 African-American citizens believe that Obama will truly materialize the dream of Martin Luther King concerning racial equality. Forty years after King’s death in 1968, Obama won the US 44th presidential election at his forty’s. On the King’s 2X40=80th birthday, Obama was inaugurated as the first African-American president. Did the magic of number play its role in this election? Believe it or not!

How to live a Joyful life in 7 Simplest Way

Here we are from ‘Life is So Easy’ have a collected a number of tips and advices from a number of experts and summed them up in just 5 simplest way to be happy. We concluded that the root cause of unhappiness is in our egocentrism. Therefore we pick only tips that have something to do with our selfish attitude. We disregard advices that not only superficial but hard to apply in the real situation. For instance, “keep a journal” seems a good advice, doesn’t it. But who is going to be bothered writing things out especially for those who are not in the mood. Let’s get to the point. Here are the five simplest ways. If you have successfully practiced them, as we do, you would say that life is so easy.

1. Don’t let the small stuff bug you.

Wasting your energy by getting upset about life’s many minor irritations is not worth it. Smile and wave to driver who won’t let you merge into his lane. He’s rude and aggressive, and it’s his problem. You’ve missed the train? Fretting is pointless-the train is gone. Enjoy the coffee or ice cream while you wait for the next one.

2. Be thankful in every moment.

Just being thankful for everything either good or bad happens to you can keep your happiness intact. So, next time if you get mugged, you may treat it as though you just fed the hunger. Being depressive about it is foolish. Just let them go and pray that your valuable stuff would end up in the hand of a person who might need them the most. Blessing in disguise might work in your situation.

3. Don’t try to keep up with others.

Your neighbors have a larger home, the latest stereo system, a new car-who cares? Look again. Some work on the weekends, some have troubled kids, and others never seem to see friends. Who’s better off, really?

4. Accept other people as they are.

Just mirror on you, people also have ups and downs, strengths and weaknesses. Don’t put any annoying or irritating statement personally. Instead, by being helpful might make you feel even better. Learn something from their upheaval for your own good. Appreciate their strengths for your imperfection.

5. Find the joy of serving other people.

“We live to give life to others”, so the ancient wisdom said. As matter of fact, most of our worldly activities deal with satisfying others’ needs. So enjoy your duty as a human being.

6. Enjoy the life process.

Life is changing and growing. Everything has time and place. Hence, live one day at a time. Just enjoy every step of the way. Have fun while you are still in school and celebrate whenever it’s time for you to go to work. When you are happy, it’s easy for you to find your life interests and learn new things to improve them. This makes even your life more exciting.

7. Don’t put your joy in waiting list.

“If I own blah blah, I would be happy”, “If my spouse could blah blah, I would be happy”. How many times we’ve heard such a statement. Conditional happiness is elusive. The chances are your happiness will never come even after you feel that you already reached the point. Feel all the beauty the nature gives you for free. Feel it now!
